Seantel de'Monte Sanders is a photographer renowned for his innovative, multi-media, and multi-disciplinary approach to the art of image making. Refusing to adhere to the traditional boundaries of photography, he seamlessly incorporates diverse elements such as painting, sculpture, and writing into his photographic creations. This unique blend empowers him to manipulate both reality and perception, resulting in the development of intricate layers of meaning and profound depth in his work.

Seantel's journey in photography began with his education at the esteemed Brooks Institute of Photography where he mastered the technical aspects of the craft, culminating in the attainment of his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1997. He furthered his artistic explorations and honed his visionary approach to image making by pursuing a Master of Fine Arts at the Academy of Art University, a significant milestone he achieved in 2023.

Seantel's artistic contributions have graced numerous exhibitions across California. His work has been prominently displayed at venues like Artamo Gallery, Gallery 113, and the Faulkner Galleries in Santa Barbara, CA, as well as Gallery 825, and the rental and sales gallery at LACMA in Los Angeles, CA.

Originally hailing from Los Angeles, Seantel now calls Santa Barbara, California, his home. In this picturesque locale, he serves as a tenured Professor and Chair of the Photography Department at Santa Barbara City College, where he continues to inspire and educate aspiring photographers while pushing the boundaries of his own artistic expression.
